Teams Converge on Salem to Compete for Northwest Regional Title

SALEM, OR: Boys and girls 14U teams gathered in Salem, Oregon, Friday, to battle for the chance to represent the Northwest region in Orlando during the Jr. NBA World Championship at the ESPN Wide World of Sports.

The  field includes teams from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.

Impressive offensive and defensive efforts came from teams from both boys and girls play.

Pool wraps up tomorrow and bracket play begins, as the four boys teams and four girls teams will advance into Championship Sunday action.

Additionally tomorrow, tournament participants will take part in a Life Skills Session led by a very special guest. The discussion will focus on ways players can utilize the lessons they learn on the court to improve their lives off the court and the Jr. NBA core values: Respect, Teamwork, Determination, and Community.

Pool play continues into the early afternoon tomorrow, culminating in the first round of bracket play. Keep up with all the action, starting at 9 AM local time, with live stat updates and live video coverage on ELEVEN and FloHoops.
